Course overview
This course discusses the triple burner and gallbladder which constitute the shaoyang level. We start with the fascia (and connective tissue) and see how it constitutes an organ in itself: the triple burner. The triple burner makes space within the body. Within this space flows lymph and qi. The anatomy of the three burners is then presented. Uses of the channel are also covered: headaches; neck pain; ear problems (tinnitus/ vertigo); and, facial problems (esp. TB 5). Then the anatomy of the gallbladder organ and biliary tree is discussed. Its action on lymph, keeping it clean and free-flowing. Its psycho-emotional aspect relates to courage and perseverance. Finally, a discussion of commonly used points and their anatomical position.
