Non-Healing Wounds

Course overview

This presentation focuses on the phases of wound healing and disease processes that effect wound healing. Participants will be able to: 1. identify macro and micro factors that can impair wound healing 2. formulate a work-up that can explain why a chronic wound will not heal 3. identify a variety of treatments that will assist in healing different types of chronic wounds 4. understand the current research and further research that is needed to promote healing of chronic wounds
