Course overview
While being overweight in some cultures characterizes good health, overall it is not. More often than not, parents contribute to the obesity of their children and teenagers. This course describes diabetes among youth, risk factors, complications, and proactive prevention. In addition, the reasons why a family-based healthy lifestyle is the best long-term solution to reducing the prevalence of type 2 diabetes among the youth.
