The provision of telemental health services is expanding in an effort to meet a wide array of needs, situations, and populations. Various stakeholders, from payors and politicians to clinicians and consumers of mental-health services, require information establish the merit and efficacy of telemedicine applications. Relevant studies that met rigorous selection criteria were reviewed and critiqued in this analysis which provides evidence of feasibility and acceptance of telemental health interventions as well as significant associated cost savings.
