Course overview
This course discusses long-term heroin injectors in the Mexican-American population. The respondents came from vastly predominate Mexican-American neighborhoods and had long drug careers of heroin use. Most were from Houston, TX, in neighborhoods where heroin thrived, and was part of the culture and addicts "tecatos" were respected. This study uses the life course drug use framework, and interviews respondents from that perspective.
