A 4-credit, 40 question home study CE program based on the book, "A Clinician's Guide to Controversial Illnesses: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and Multiple Chemical Sensitivities," by Renee R. Taylor, PhD, Fred Friedberg, PhD, and Leonard A. Jason, PhD. Participants in this program will increase their knowledge and understanding of the causes and perpetuating factors associated with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), fibromyalgia (FMS), and multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS). The presenters discuss the diagnostic issues related to these illnesses, demonstrate psychometric and behavioral assessment approaches, present pharmacological and alternative treatments, and outline a cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment.
