Course overview
This course provides healthcare professionals with an in depth understanding of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis ALS commonly known as Lou Gehrigs disease. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder affecting motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord, leading to muscle weakness, paralysis, and eventual respiratory failure. Participants will explore the etiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic evaluation, management strategies, and psychosocial considerations. Emphasis is placed on evidence based interventions, multidisciplinary care, and patient centered approaches to enhance quality of life.
