This course features two separate articles that discuss treating co-occurring substance use disorders (SUD) and psychiatric disorders. The first article deals with clients in psychotherapy and includes vignettes. It highlights the original version of motivational interviewing (MI) and recommends using MI and psychodynamic therapy with SUD.
