Course overview
This course will assist participants with gaining a gaining knowledge on legal and ethical related issues; patterns and coercion of a perpetrator; reasons for breaking confidentiality; being an advocate and empowering victims. Participants will also learn the steps to be taken for duty to warn/protect using the Tarasoff and Ewing case study. Participants will utilize hands on case study to develop domestic violence safety plans and become efficient with ways to help domestic violence victims gain resources to stay safe.
