Persons with acquired brain injury (TBI, CVA, etc) present with uniquerehabilitation challenges due to a combination of cognitive changes that impact their participation in any treatment plan. Evidence-based treatment of brain injury, regardless of domain, must address patient awareness of deficit, issues that limit carryover (generalization), and unique instructional needs. This webinar will outline models for assessment of awareness and awareness treatment principles, strategies to increase generalization, and introduce recent guidelines that address instructional models for bring injury rehabilitation.
