Description: This course serves as an introduction to Telehealth for Mental Health Professionals and Social Workers. This course will serve as both an introduction to Telehealth for Mental Health Professionals and Social Workers and an explanation of the ethics related to Distance Counseling and the different formats of delivery. The American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics sets forth the ethical obligations of ACA members and provides guidance intended to inform the ethical practice of professional counselors. The CSWMFT Board held a special meeting on April 2, 2020, to file emergency rule revisions to Rule 4757-5-13 - Electronic Service Delivery (Teletherapy) as well as a resolution authorizing the Executive Director and Chairperson to approve certain waivers to facilitate licensure and practice during the current emergency, thereby expanding telehealth access.
