This course teaches the clinical provider how to recognize cognitive impairment use strategies to communicate with such patients learn how to obtain information from demented or confused patients and discourse teaches the clinical provider how to recognize cognitive impairment used strategies to communicate with such patience learn how to obtain information from demented or confused patient and differentiate between verbal and non verbal communications. It also encourages caregivers to focus on the patients abilities to help them with communication.
