Physically Active Lifestyle Key to Controlling Type 2 Diabetes
Tracking # 20-697925
Course overview
Research supports that people with Type 2 diabetes mellitus who engage in a physically active lifestyle maintain better control over the disease and its complications. Further, it may even prevent the onset of Type 2 diabetes mellitus. Despite these findings, about 40.8% of people with diabetes get less than 10 minutes per week of any moderate or vigorous physical activity (CDC, 2017). For adults without diabetes, about 54% of adults in the general population regularly meet the activity guidelines (CDC, 2018).
