Course overview

Human trafficking is a widespread form of slavery that exists today, even within the United States. Victims of human trafficking come in all genders, nationalities, sexual orientations, and ethnicities. Modern slavery includes more than just sex trafficking; it can also consist of forced labor, including domestic, industrial, or farm labor. However, most victims in the United States are unwilling participants in the sex trade. This course covers the information, tools, and resources for healthcare teams to identify, assess, and treat victims of human trafficking, and provides referral resources for legal and social services.
