This course provides the learner which information regarding the current facts related to stroke as well as stroke risk factors, stroke types, and levels of stroke care. With the advances in stroke care, it is important that healthcare providers are knowledgeable of the types of treatments available for specific stroke events and which patients are eligible for said treatments. Additionally, it is important for healthcare providers and front line staff know their role and how they can positively impact the outcomes for the patient, family, and or caregiver.
