Tracking # 20-703839
Course overview
Rhabdomyolysis means the breakdown of striated muscle; it can be caused in different ways in a variety of populations. The condition can vary in severity from an asymptomatic elevated serum creatine kinase to a life-threatening condition. It is important for PTs to understand the different etiologies and presentations of this condition, as well as lab markers, to be aware of and properly identify a possible risk. This understanding will improve patient management and treatment for this condition.
