Tracking # 20-703841
Course overview
Shoulder pain is a common complaint seen by medical professionals, and it encompasses a wide variety of clinical diagnoses. Approximately 65% of the diagnoses associated with shoulder pain can be attributed to some form of rotator cuff pathology (Cadogan et al., 2011). Often those individuals with rotator cuff pathology seek conservative treatment options, including rehabilitation services. The understanding of tendinopathies and the development of treatment options has advanced over the last several decades. This course provides an overview of current trends in the understanding of rotator cuff tendinopathy including the underlying pathophysiology, risk factors, and the evidence underscoring many of the more common interventions.
