Course overview
This course will provide a general overview of infectious diseases, including potential sources and general treatment options. Bacterial infections, viral infections, and fungal infections will all be discussed. A large portion of the course is dedicated to bacterial infections since they are prevalent, and a wide range of antibiotics exist for treating these infections. General principles for antibiotic selection and streamlining will be provided. Fewer treatment options exist for viral infections and fungal infections, but potential solutions are still available, and they will be discussed.
