Course overview

THIS COURSE PRESENTS THE ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS OF A PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT OF AN INFANT'S OR A CHILD'S ABDOMEN, MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM, AND NEUROLOGIC SYSTEMS. ALTHOUGH THE INFANT'S OR CHILD'S ABDOMEN AND NEUROLOGIC AND MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEMS ARE SIMILAR TO THOSE OF AN ADULT, THERE ARE SOME PHYSIOLOGIC DIFFERENCES. AS THE INFANT OR CHILD GROWS AND DEVELOPS, IT IS IMPORTANT TO RECOGNIZE ANY ALTERATIONS IN THE ABDOMEN OR IN THE MUSCULOSKELETAL AND NEUROLOGIC SYSTEMS THAT MAY IMPACT NORMAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT.
