This seminar will discuss the applications of imaging in rehabilitation. The imaging characteristics of conventional radiographs, CT, MRI, and ultrasound will be presented, as well as their value in the examination of various disease entities and dysfunctions. This seminar will help the rehabilitation professional employ imaging in clinical work, for the purpose of modifying treatment and recognizing treatment restrictions that may apply. The seminar will discuss clinical presentations for which it would be helpful to obtain further imaging studies or to seek medical consultation. The student will review radiographic anatomy and practice evaluation of arthritis, fractures, and joint alignment.
