Activity Title: Staying Out of Trouble with the DEA by Preventing Drug Diversion

Course overview

This program addresses the challenges of denying access to controlled substances for those persons who would abuse or divert them, while continuing to provide access to controlled substances for patients those who need them in legitimate treatment. The legal case study method is used to apply the concept of red flags to an actual case in which a pharmacy's DEA registration was revoked. An example of a plan for the prevention of drug diversion is presented.
