Course overview
Only recently has the importance of recognizing and alleviating such conditions gained mainstream attention. Through understanding the basic nature and cause of these localized imbalances, and with application of simple, safe skills, the massage therapist with a potent skill to help clients reduce pain, speed recovery and improve performance. This course is designed to introduce the therapy professional to the prevalence and impact of the connective tissue disruptive conditions such as adhesions and trigger points. As well as, recognizing the relationship between movements and muscles. Several common pathologies and consequences of tissue imbalances will be addressed. The course emphasizes crucial skills of palpation, passive and active movement and the process of relieving adhesions, trigger points and related imbalances.
