Course overview

This workshop focuses on highlighting the intersectionality of racism, mental wellness, and social justice, specific to service delivery impacting both consumers of color and their service providers. Participants will develop insight into how systems are used to reinforce oppressive practices which result in poor mental health outcomes, reduced engagement in services, as well as, mistrust of social agencies. Participants will also learn practical strategies to consistently engage in anti-oppressive advocacy geared towards social justice.
