Course overview
Massage Therapy for Spinal Curvatures home study includes the topics of scoliosis, kyphosis, and hyperlordosis, with a strong emphasis on scoliosis. Scoliosis is not an injury or a simple postural misalignment; therefore, cannot be addressed as such. The purpose of this course is to provide massage therapists with the knowledge, understanding, and tools needed for obtaining pain relief and rehabilitative results for their clients suffering from these conditions. This course teaches how to use massage therapy independently with non-structural curves, how to integrate massage into a team approach with non-surgical scoliosis specialists for more serious curvatures while staying within the massage therapy scope of practice, and how to safely work with pre and post-operative clients. Also included is associated preliminary study.
