Diabetic Medications Course Summary 3.00 Contact Hours Start Course This course is applicable for the following professions: Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN), Registered Nurse (RN) According to the Center for Disease Control, 12.3 percent of Americans have diabetes, and rates of Diabetes, especially Diabetes type 2 are on the rise. This course will demonstrate how anti-hyperglycemics works, the injectable medicines used to treat diabetes and how insulin is used to treat diabetes. Users of the course should be able to talk about issues surrounding glycemic control.
