Observing, Reporting, & Documenting for Occupational Therapy

Course overview

Some people receive occupational therapy while being cared for in an inpatient, assisted living, residential, or another healthcare facility. In these situations, each individual has a care plan and is assigned a care team of medical professionals who execute this plan; occupational therapists are sometimes part of this team. The care team relies on each caregiver to be an attentive observer of each individual in their care, acting as a vital communication link that ensures each person receives the care they need and deserve. This course discusses how members of the care team, including occupational therapists, should observe, report, and document concerns for those in their care.
