Safe Lifting for Occupational Therapy
Tracking # 20-576594
Course overview
Each year, many people suffer back injuries due to improper lifting and carrying practices while at work. OSHA consistently finds that healthcare workers are one of the top 10 occupations with the most work-related musculoskeletal injuries. Occupational therapy workers are certainly part of this group, as they routinely move items, equipment, and clients from place to place as they deliver care and treatment. This course discusses how to properly lift and carry a load, how to safely transfer clients from place to place, and how to manage a safe facility.
