Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) is an increasingly popular manual therapy technique used to address soft tissue dysfunction. This module outlines the current understanding of IASTM with a review of the physiological effects and potential benefits for both patients and clinicians. Learners will gain an understanding of indications, precautions, and additional considerations for use of IASTM in their clinical practice.
