The Transition From rehab to Fitness Home Study Portion

Course overview

THIS IS THE HOME STUDY COMPONENT THAT ACCOMPANIES THE LIVE PORTION OF THE COURSE. This class is designed for the therapist to develop a more appropriate post-rehab fitness plan for patients who are near discharge from therapy services. All assessments and exercise prescription are based on American College of Sports Medicine guidelines for exercise testing and prescription. The course is very interactive with participants learning techniques for transitioning a patient into a post-rehab fitness program while taking into account any contraindications or precautions based on the patient's diagnosis. This class is a therapist favorite and has been a staple class since 2000. The participant receives a 219 page manual that is to be read prior to attending the live portion of this class. There are 5-10 quiz questions at the end of each of the 14 chapters that are reviewed in the live part of the class. This class is presented in two formats: the first is the live seminar in which the therapist attends in person. The second is the live webinar broadcast live and requiring full participation and interaction from the therapist who are attending remotely.
