Course overview

The 5 CE hour Soft Tissue Release home study course will introduce you to soft tissue release (STR) and how it can be used on the body. It will guide you in understanding and applying the three types of STR: active, passive, and active-assisted. It will outline STR applications, indications, contraindications, as well as setting up a treatment program. The course includes a textbook and an online video bank of technique demonstrations. This course will give you the basic tools to incorporate STR into your every day massage routine! This course will: Define STR and the three types of STR used on the body List indications and contraindications to STR Outline basic STR techniques and how to incorporate them into your massage routine Explain how to set up a program of care individualized for each client Provide you with 2 1/2 hours of online technique demonstrations
