Objectives: Students will learn about the principles, pathology and management of the patient experiencing an orthopedic emergency. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Discuss vertebral and pelvic injuries Review the emergency management strategies for Compartment syndrome Describe the management of amputations and fractures of the extremities Discuss soft tissue injuries
