Course overview

While the common headache does not usually drive a patient to seek medical attention, migraine headaches often do. More than just a severe headache, a migraine headache is typically accompanied by intense pain, sensitivity to light and sound, and can include other symptoms like nausea and vomiting. The first-line treatment for chronic or frequent migraine pain is the use of medications with a goal to eliminate pain. Not all patients, however, will tolerate or respond to pharmacological treatment and will often seek alternative and complementary therapies for needed relief. No Test Required!
