The 17 CE hour Condition Specific Massage Therapy home study course will present you with fundamental principles for assessing and treating common musculoskeletal conditions with massage therapy. You'll not only be presented with the broadly recognized signs and symptoms, indications and contraindications for each condition, but also how to create a personalized massage therapy plan for clients. Conditions covered in this course include: •Releasing fascia •Addressing trigger points •Hyperkyphosis •Tension headaches •Thoracic outlet syndrome •Carpal tunnel syndrome •Hyperlordosis •Piriformis syndrome •Patellofemoral syndrome •Plantar fasciitis •Muscle strains •Ligament sprains •Tendinopathy This course will also present: •The definition of condition specific massage •Physiologic effects of basic massage strokes and techniques •More than 1 hour of video clips illustrating the anatomy of each condition •Massage protocols for the above common medical conditions •Definition, contraindications, and indications for each of the above conditions •Postural, range of motion, and palpation assessment strategies for each condition •When to refer your client to another healthcare provider •Research summarizing the benefits of massage therapy for each condition
