Oncology Massage: Lighting the Way (WMC)

Course overview

This is not your usual presentation on oncology massage. Although you'll see video demonstrations and learn basic cancer pathology, treatment options, side effects, and how these side effects impact the level of touch we offer our clients, we'll also delve into the world of emotions that impact the client, care provider, and, of course, you as the therapist. We will explore ways we can compassionately communicate with these clients from first diagnosis to cancer-free. You'll discover how you can be more grounded in this work using breathing exercises, imagery, humor, color therapy, and other self-care exercises.
