Target Audience: The target audience for this education program is nurse managers who want to improve their ability to manage resistant behaviors displayed by staff nurses. Course Overview: All nurse managers have to deal with overt and covert forms of resistance at various times in their careers. This education program will help nurse managers identify and handle behaviors that interfere with the efficiency of their nursing units. Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to: 1. Identify the crises and opportunities that resistance creates. 2. Describe the 20/60/20 Rule of Resistance. 3. Implement strategies that remove the masks of resistance.
