****This course meets the State of Florida continuing education requirement and is reported to CEBroker immediately upon completion of the course and the mandatory evaluation.**** HIV and AIDS have been around for more than 30 years and now are listed among the growing list of chronic diseases. For this reason, it is important to understand the etiology, contraction, diagnosis, treatment and impact on other diseases and illnesses. The medications used to treat HIV infection are frequently changing and many belong to medication classes that are not used in many other medical conditions. In addition, the effect of HIV infection or the treatment thereof, can have significant clinical impact on the treatment and management of other chronic and even acute diseases. Therefore, it is vital that healthcare practitioners update their nursing knowledge about HIV on a regular basis. This course does that and more and it meets the State of Florida continuing education requirement and is reported to CEBroker immediately upon completion of the course and the mandatory evaluation.
