Course overview

The goal of this module is to provide the learner with an overview of the neonate’s neurological system. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Review normal and abnormal neurological assessment findings Identify at least 3 neural tube defects Describe risk factors, assessment, and management of brain hemorrhages, perinatal asphyxia, hydrocephalus, and neonatal seizures Discuss brain death criteria for the neonate
