The goal of this module is to provide the learner with an overview of pharmacology and maternal medication effects. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Define concepts of pharmacology, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics Identify medication categories, and specific considerations with administration of these medications to the neonate Describe nursing responsibilities and interventions with medication administration in the neonate Discuss effects of maternal medications on the neonate
