Course overview

Healthcare leaders are often talented clinicians within their own disciplines, who are promoted to a supervisor in their department or eventually to lead their corporate organization. Some of our industry’s leaders may also have advanced management degrees. In either circumstance, the person assuming the leadership role faces multiple challenges, from the ever changing healthcare industry’s regulations, to disengaged employees who are not bought in to the organization’s vision. This course offers a range of suggested tools and strategies to effectively lead teams, whether they are a single department or a large corporation. Topics covered will range from current research and tips from experts in the field, to practical, tried and true strategies to implement for quality outcomes. This course purposes to inspire the attendee with leadership concepts, so that the result will lead to engaged team members and successful organizations.
