Neurologic Effects of Chemotherapy: Discusses chemo brain, terms, prevalence, and patient perspectives; neuroanatomy structure, functions, and how chemo affects the matter of the brain; symptoms of chemo brains with commonly observed clinical implications, effect on working memory, realities of chemo brain, timeline of effects, and contributing factors; strategies and activities to decrease symptoms and promote brain health, and compensatory techniques. Joint Protection Matters: Practice What You Preach: Discusses the anatomy of the thumb, extensor tunnels, and the carpal tunnel; implications associated with non-utilization of joint protection techniques; the common problems of carpometacarpal osteoarthritis, De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and the clinical picture and risk factors of each; intervention strategies and ergonomic positioning therapists can utilize to prevent musculoskeletal injuries including modifications, stretching, strengthening, and supports; and devices including thumb supports and alternatives, and wrist supports.
