The goal of this module is to provide nurses with information about antipsychotics, antidepressants, mood stabilizers and anxiolytics / sedatives and sleep aids, and their application to patient care. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Describe a black box warning for antipsychotics Identify a first generation (FGA) and a second generation (SGA) antipsychotic Examine adverse effects from antipsychotics Identify adverse effects from antidepressants Describe adverse effects of some mood stabilizers Identify some indications for anxiolytics
