At the completion of this talk the participant will be able to list the common causes of iatrogenic gas embolism At the completion of this talk the participant will be able to describe the most common signs and symptoms of an iatrogenic gas embolism At the completion of this talk the participant will be able to list the appropriate treatment of iatrogenic gas embolism. At the completion of this talk the participant will be able to list the mechanism of acute and chronic radiation tissue injury At the completion of this talk the participant will be able to list the most commonly involved tissues that manifest radiation injury At the completion of this talk the participant will be able to discuss the work up needed prior to starting adjunctive hyperbaric oxygen therapy for patients with late radiation tissue injury. At the conclusion of these talks the participant should be able to know that patients following carbon monoxide poisoning can have permanent problem, that HBO2 for mild traumatic brain injury is investigational, and that HBO2 of critically ill patients can be done, but is challenging. 1.Participants should be able to: a. Have better knowledge of the current state of the art for hyperbaric medicine and wound care. b. Identify the UHMS HBO2 Indications. c. Discuss the treatment guidelines. d. Evaluate patients and conduct treatment for the UHMS accepted clinical indications. 2. Participants should be able to: a. Discuss with their clinical colleagues the appropriate approach to patient care in a hyperbaric and wound care situations. b. Use a multi-disciplinary approach to hyperbaric patient care. c. Demonstrate knowledge and competence in the clinical setting 3. Participants should be able to: a. Discuss new indications for hyperbaric medicine and implement them in their clinical practices. Evaluation Methods: Evaluation is offered online through the CME Portal upon completion of the lessons, which evaluates the effectiveness of the meeting, speakers and that no bias was presented and overall objectives were met.
