Course overview

As part of the remotivation treatment framework, occupational therapists use the Model of Human Occupation in a variety of settings to help clients deal with problems in their lives. It measures a person’s volition, using the aim and key assumptions of the remotivation process in the volitional questionnaire (VQ) and the volitional continuum. Explains the goals, focus, and environment for the exploratory, competence, and achievement modules as well as the stages of each and the therapist strategies to facilitate progression along the volitional continuum; the evidence of how remotivation works, and how providers can apply it to clients with severe depression and severe dementia.
