Urinary Tract Infections
Tracking # 20-625260
Course overview
The kidneys serve as the body's filtration system. Waste and excess fluids are filtered out of the blood and excreted through the urine. When the kidneys are not working as they should, fluid, electrolytes, and wastes can build up to dangerous levels in the body, even to the point of being fatal. Because kidney disease often does not create noticeable symptoms until the disease is advanced, it is important that medical clinicians are able to recognize the symptoms as soon as they are present and take immediate steps to resolve or mitigate the impact. This is the third in a four-part series on kidney disease. No Test Required!
