Course overview
The goal of this module is to provide healthcare providers with information about central venous access devices (CVAD), specialty venous access devices, non-venous access, and vascular access device-related equipment. Upon completion of this module, the participant will be able to: State the proper point of tip location for a central venous catheter List the components of a central line bundle Explain the difference between non-tunneled/tunneled central venous access devices and implanted ports Describe the venous access device that may be inserted for cardiac or pulmonary monitoring Identify a non-venous access device that may be placed in a patient List the methods for verifying the internal tip location of a central venous catheter
