Course overview

Clinical laboratory professionals are an important part of overall patient care. For this reason, the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel oversees all laboratory personnel employed in Florida. All clinical laboratory personnel who work in the state are obligated to observe a set of laws put forth by the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel. The laws are in place to provide protection to patients as well as to employees and employers in the facility housing the clinical laboratory. There is legislation that particularly applies to personnel working in Florida clinical labs. This continuing education program will discuss how the laws help employees to perform their duties in the lab.
