Tinnitus for the Healthcare Provider

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Identify common classifications, risk factors, and etiologies of tinnitus using current evidence and diagnostic criteria.
2. Distinguish between primary and secondary tinnitus through patient history, physical examination, and audiologic findings.
3. Apply guideline-recommended diagnostic strategies and tools to evaluate tinnitus severity and identify red flags.
4. Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions such as sound therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and emerging neuromodulation techniques.
5. Evaluate the impact of tinnitus on mental health and quality of life, and integrate behavioral health strategies into patient-centered management.
