Trauma Nursing: Maxillofacial, Neck and Airway Management

Course overview

The students will learn about airway management principles and practice and care of the patient with maxillofacial and neck trauma. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Conduct a physical assessment, including airway assessment and airway management procedures Describe rapid sequence induction for intubation and Pharmacology Discuss preparation for dealing with difficult airways, including the review of safe airway practices and describe the principles of pain management and sedation during transportation
