Course overview

Students will learn about the principles, pathology and management of the patient experiencing cardiac trauma. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Describe the presentation and emergency management of cardiac Contusions Review the management principles of cardiac tamponade Discuss the presentation and management of aortic rupture Describe the types of shock frequently seen in cardiovascular trauma and outline the management strategies for each type of shock
