Course overview
Students will learn about the principles, pathology and management of the obstetrical, gynecological and renal trauma patient. Upon completion of this module, participants will be able to: Discuss nursing care of patients with problems of fluid and electrolyte imbalance Identify the anatomy and physiology of the genitourinary system List the common disorders of the genitourinary system and nursing care Describe male and female reproductive disorders and treatments Discuss complications of pregnancy in relation to trauma Describe the emergency management of the pregnant patient suffering from a traumatic injury
